Hi,
Is it possible to output of a DXL Script to a spreadsheet??
For Example, consider the case of fetching the data/attribute from other module to the current module. Instead of populating the attribute, is it possible to fetch the output to an excel sheet directly?
In other words, is file handling possible with DXL Scripts??

You have two options. Write to a comma separated file, or write directly to Excel.
To do a CSV file, look up Streams in the DXL Reference Manual
To write directly to Excel, you can check out OLE Automation in the DXL Reference Manual, look at the built-in example (lib/dxl/standard/export/office/excel.dxl) or go to galactic-solutions.com and study the code in "Enhanced Export to Excel", which is MUCH better than the built-in example.
Good luck.

If you want to go the OLE way, it helps a lot to have the OLE.inc and ExcelFunctions.inc from the https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/wikis/pages/viewpageattachments.action?pageId=93585672

Interesting, let's try again: the include files are in the DXL Wiki.
I would love if the preview and the help pane with the formatting shortcuts would be available always, and not only on random occasion ...

Although I'm getting other oddities, I got the preview pane back by changing my original Forums shortcut from "http://www.ibm..." to "https://www.ibm...", adding the "s" making is a 'secure' connection, whatever that means.
